The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) is a school within the Communications and Creative Industries faculty of Edith Cowan University. The school is located in the suburb of Mount Lawley, Perth, Western Australia. It is regarded as one of Australia's best music, theatre and drama schools, along with the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). It has courses in acting, music theatre, dance, production design, arts management and music. Acceptance to the Performing Arts courses is by audition only.
